Colour: The Secret to Creating a Sustainable Wardrobe
It’s time to think more carefully about the clothes we buy, reduce compulsive shopping, and move away from fast fashion.
This book shows you how to build a streamlined wardrobe you love by applying colour theory, drawn from art and design principles, to your clothing choices. Using colour as a design tool, you’ll learn how to create a cohesive, functional wardrobe — and curb the endless cycle of compulsive shopping.
Beautifully illustrated by Alfia Galimova and photographed by William Chute, with design by Jodie Horne, the book features real-life models of diverse ages, ethnicities, and genders.
The book was launched on 30 March 2021 as part of Melbourne Design Week, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV. The theme for 2021 was ‘Design the World You Want’ which I contributed to as a passionate advocate for a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry as well as a colour enthusiast.
This book is available in hardcopy and ships internationally as well as within Australia.
